Honoring Our Military – Placing Flags at Veterans’ Graves

9am to 10:30am - All family members are welcome. Bring a friend.

 

What to Bring, What to Wear

• Scouts can wear their full Class A uniform. Scouts going to or coming from a sports game can wear their team uniform.

• ​Bring a 6" screwdriver to make a hole in the dirt for the small wooden flag.
• Flags will be provided by the Veterans Affairs Office.

 

Schedule

• 8:55am:  Arrive and park

• 9:00am:  Opening Ceremony, Prayer & Taps

• 9:15am:  Instructions, Group Photo, followed by flagging graves. Scouts will be paired with a Veteran as they go around the cemetery. 

• 10:30am (approx.):  Families may leave sooner if necessary.
